To Vientiane / Dec04

The road is a grueling 5 hour ride over the worst roads we've seen yet.
We did stop in a fishing village half way




And met some of the locals


Pretty country

Eventually we arrive in the capital of Laos, Vientiane.
We skipped the afternoon temple tour, took a walk along the Mekong.  The riverside is a huge park full of people out for for a Sunday stroll.

Next stop, Phnom Penh, Cambodia.

    Poor you. What a drive. But what an experience. Looking forward to hearing more about the people and life in these villages.
